          Floyd C. Lyions, 56, of St. Libory formerly of Wolbach, died Monday, January 30, 2017 at his home.

          Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.  Robert Vasquez will officiate.

          A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

          Visitation will be on Thursday, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

          Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the family’s choice.

          Mr. Lyions was born October 15, 1960 in St. Paul to Thomas and Lucille (Henke) Lyions.

          Floyd was raised on a farm northwest of Wolbach.  He attended Wolbach Schools where he graduated in 1979.

          After graduation, he farmed with his family on the home farm.  He also milked cows with his father.  After his father’s death, he continued to milk cows for a few more years and raise cattle.

          He farmed row crops and harvested hay with his brother Harry until 2009.  After they quit farming row crops, they continued to harvest hay for several more years.

          After his brother, Harry’s death in February 2016, he moved in with his sister Margaret and her husband Kirk.  

          Floyd enjoyed reading and sitting with his dog and watching animal shows on television.  He loved to watch outdoor shows on television, such as the Alaskan shows, bonanza, rawhide, all types of westerns and RFD television.

          He like to attend farm auctions and collect all types of tractor related items.

          Survivors include three sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Kirk Friesen of St. Libory, Dolly and Robert Vasquez of Grand Prarie, TX and Mary and Randall Wilkinson of Grand Island; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Kathy Lyions of Grand Island and John and Joanne Lyions of Lancaster, MO and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

          He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Tom and Harry Lyions.
