Marvin Ray Holderman, was born November 18, 1947, in Linden, Alberta area, Canada, to Harvey and Martha (Toews) Holderman. After a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, which he accepted gracefully, he peacefully passed away in the early morning hours of September 17, 2015, at the Moundridge Manor, Moundridge, Kansas, reaching the age of sixty-seven years.

His growing up years were spent in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. He received his education at the Mountain View and Bonners Ferry schools. At the age of 12, he answered God's call and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite on January 1, 1960 by Minister Edmund Justus. He remained faithful to his vows till the end. His 1-W service years were spent in Reedley, California, working in a mental hospital.

On November 14, 1969, he married me, Beverly Johnson. We were blessed with one daughter and one son and enjoyed 45 years together. We started our married life in rural Galva, then moving to Bonners Ferry, Idaho, living there for the next 5 years. His love of agriculture then led them to Buhl, Idaho, where he farmed for 18 years, then moving to Scotia, Nebraska, where he was truly a farmer at heart for the next 20 years.

He was a loving husband and father and provided well for his family. He was a friendly, kind and loving man and was known for his selfless service, serving on many committees, generously sharing with those in need. Dad was a hospitable person, giving our home a warm and friendly atmosphere. Church and Sunday School were very meaningful to him. He was quick to correct his wrongs or say I'm sorry.

Left to treasure precious memories are his wife, Beverly, one daughter, Kari Holderman, Moundridge, Kansas; one son, Steven and wife, Cherilee Holderman, Scotia, Nebraska; two grandchildren, Jarin and Shayna; three brothers, Ed and wife Salinda Holderman, Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Dale and Gwen Holderman, Alan and Gayle Holderman, Buhl, Idaho; three sisters, Helen and Darrel Yost, Madrid, Nebraska, Arlene and Randy Penner, Stenen, Saskatchewan, Canada and Lois Holderman, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; eight sisters-in-law, Gertrude Unruh, Moundridge, Kansas, Linda Unruh, Barbara and Stanley Unruh, Galva, Kansas, Joyce and Warren Wiggers, Hesston, Kansas, Vera and Larry Ratzlaff, Galva, Kansas, Janis and Don Boeckner, Greeley, Nebraska, Jeanne and Sherwin Unruh, Galva, Kansas, Susan and Mike Reimer, Leland Mississippi; three brothers-in-law, Jonnie and Annie Johnson, Arthur, Illinois, Orval and Myra Johnson, Stanley and Marilee Johnson, Galva, Kansas.
