I have many fond memories growing up in Dannebrog of Mel and his family. He will be missed. Mel brought a big bag of popcorn to the VA hospital when we were losing Dad to cancer. I can see Dad, meeting Mel in heaven with a big bag of popcorn and an even bigger smile! Sending sympathy and prayers to Mel's family and friends.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

We are so sorry for your loss. I have many happy memories of Uncle Melvin. He and my Dad could talk 'til the cows came home!! He was one of the kindest people I ever knew. His friendly outgoing smile is what I remember most. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Rest in peace,Uncle Melvin.

Mel was the first person I met in Dannebrog and one of the first reasons I had for wanting to live here. He was always gracious and helpful to us, even when I came to him with hopelessly stupid questions about tractors. He was, in fact, my first instructor in tractor mechanicking. His sense of humor was another of the surprises I found here. During one of my first visits I looked down the empty main street, a couple dogs sleeping in the dust, and asked Mel, "Man, what do you do in this town for excitement?" Mel's perfect and convincing response, "Rog, we don't get excited in this town."

To George & Dale & Nellie & all of Mel's Family: I have many, many good memories of all of the Grim family from many years ago (back in the good old days) and send you love and sympathy in your loss of Mel. I wish I could attend the funeral services and get to greet you in person, but you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
