Jacquelyn "Jacque" L. Shull

June 25, 1934 ~ September 26, 2017 (age 83) 83 Years Old

       

          Jacquelyn “Jacque” L. (Eastwood) Shull 83, of Palmer died Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at CHI Health-St. Francis in Grand Island.

          Visitation will be held on Monday, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Greenway Funeral Home in Palmer.  A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery in Palmer.  Reverend Mike Anderson will officiate.

          Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice to be designated at a later date.

          Jacque was born June 25, 1934 in Mullen, NE to Clifford L. and Iva L. (Clark) Eastwood.

          She attended Mullen schools where she graduated in 1951. 

          Jacque was united in marriage to Raymond Ridemour in 1951.

Jacque moved with her parents and her daughter Dianne to the Central City area in 1952.

          Jacque attended Hastings College working on her teaching certificate.

          Jacque married Gerald Shull on August 25, 1954 in Cozad.   They moved to Palmer in 1963 and she taught rural school north of Central City for several years.

          She worked as a bookkeeper at the Co-op Elevator in Palmer.  Jacque managed the Teen Center in Palmer and the American Legion for several years.

          She began working for Larry Happ at Happ’s Bar and Palmer Service Center, where she has been employed for the past 37 years until the time of her death.

          Jacque enjoyed embroidery, bowling, cooking, and her flower garden.  She also enjoyed baking cinnamon rolls for everyone at work.

          She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Burton Beyer American Legion Auxiliary, both of Palmer and the 8 & 40.  She was also on the Maplewood Corner board of directors.

          Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Albert Benaivdz of Grand Island and Debra and Thad Blodgett of Central City; four grandchildren and their spouses, Adam Benaivdz, Peggy and John Gamage, Clifford & Julie Blodgett and Gregory and Michele Blodgett; ten great-grandchildren, Anthony, Aaron, Austin, Aiden, Jasmine, Zoey, Izah, Jacob, Courtney and Ronan; and a brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Charlotte Eastwood of Buffalo, WY.

          She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gerald on November 1, 1981.
