Lynn D. Koehn, 47, of Scotia died Friday, August 14, 2009 at the Howard County Community Hospital in St. Paul as the result of a construction accident.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Scotia. Pastor Elgin Koehn will officiate. Interment will be in the Cedar Hills Mennonite Cemetery near Scotia.
Visitation will be held on Monday, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. with a service of memories to be held at 7:30 p.m. at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Mr. Koehn was born January 27, 1962 in Atwater, CA to Larry and Jacqueline (Smith) Koehn.
He was raised in Atwater and then Greeley, CO where he attended schools. Lynn was involved in agriculture in the Atwater, CA area.
He was united in marriage to Vangie Jantzen on March 20, 1983 in Glenn, CA.
The couple moved to Scotia in March 1993. He farmed until the late 1990's in the Scotia area. Lynn was active in the construction business with Elgin Koehn in K & K Construction.
Lynn enjoyed spending time with his family camping and fishing. He also liked to cook outdoors.
He was a member of the Church of God in Christ Mennonite, Cedar Hills Congregation of Scotia.
Survivors include his wife, Vangie of Scotia; one son, Adam of Scotia; three daughters, Trenda, Natalie and Miranda of Scotia; his parents, Larry and Jacqueline Koehn of Mariposa, CA; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Becky and David Koehn and Kimberly and Tim Koehn, all of Atwater, CA.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
