Betty J. Roemmich, 93, of St. Paul died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Howard County Medical Center in St. Paul, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church in St. Paul. The Reverend Kati Salmons will officiate. Burial will be held in Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Monday at the church.

American Legion Auxiliary rites will be presented by the Carl Mogensen American Legion Auxiliary Unit #119 of St. Paul.

Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.

Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul is in charge of the arrangements.

Betty was born April 12, 1919 to J.R. and Ada (White) Gore in York, Nebraska.

Betty attended elementary and high school in Alexandria, NE. She graduated from Lincoln General Hospital School of Nursing in 1941 as a registered nurse. She was employed at Lincoln General Hospital.

Betty was united in marriage to Robert Roemmich in Lincoln on May 23, 1942.

The couple first lived in Corde De Lane, ID where Robert was stationed in the Navy. When her husband was sent overseas, Betty went to live with her sister in Oregon. She was employed at the Corvallis General Hospital in Oregon while her husband was overseas.

In 1946 the couple moved to St. Paul where her husband practiced dentistry for over 30 years. Robert died in 1991. Betty continued to live in St. Paul for the remainder of her life.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Chapter AP P.E.O. sisterhood, Howard County Medical Center Auxiliary, Carl Mogensen American Legion Auxiliary Unit #119, all of St. Paul and was a member of the Lincoln General Hospital School of Nursing alumni.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Carl Baillie of Kula, Hawaii.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; a son Richard Roemmich and four sisters.
