David C. Adams

David Christopher Adams, 44 of Burwell (formerly of Ord), passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at home with his family by his side.

A Celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Memorials are suggested to the family or to the Paws Ranch Rescue & Animal Sanctuary (865 S. Loop 1604 E., San Antonio, TX 78264).

David was born on February 22, 1981, in San Antonio, Texas to Tomie Lee and Virginia (Reyes) Adams. He received his education at Southside Independent School District in San Antonio, and graduated in 1999 from Southwest Preparatory School in San Antonio, Texas. David was a very giving person and loved all kinds of animals. He served an intricate part of Paws Ranch and worked there for 10 years. He moved to Ord, NE in 2020, and then to Burwell in 2022. He was employed by Pizza Hut in Ord before SubConn in Burwell, and most recently by Family Dollar in Ord.

His hobbies included fishing and hunting, as well as racing cars, playing video games, and he was known as a "shade tree mechanic."

Those left to cherish his memory include his brother and sister-in-law, Cruz and Yvette Gonzalez of Ord; 3 nieces, Katherine and Derrick Gadsby of Ord, Lialani Hernandez of San Antonio, Texas, Audrey Partida of Ord; 4 great-nephews, Antonio Gadsby, Vernon Gadsby, Ezra Gadsby, all of Ord; Luka Golding of San Antonio; and 1 great-niece, Mary Lynn Gadsby of Ord; as well as family and friends in Texas

David was preceded in death by his parents; and his fur-babies.
