Elinor R. Cool

Elinor R. Cool, 71, of Palmer, Nebraska, died on Friday, July 25, 2025, at her home in Palmer.

To honor Elinor’s wishes, her body was cremated and there will not be a public service. Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in Palmer is assisting the family.

Elinor was born on January 13, 1954, in Sterling, Colorado, to Norris and Faye (Tanner) Cool. She graduated from Fleming High School in Fleming, CO in 1972, and from West Nebraska General Hospital School of Nursing in 1975. She was an RN for several years, working over 25 years at the Nebraska Veterans Home in Grand Island.

Those left to cherish her memory include her life partner for over 30 years, Norman Fritz of Palmer; sister and brother-in-law, Colleen and Rodney Weber of Broken Bow; 1 step-son; and 1 step-daughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roger Norris Cool and Neil Curtis Cool.
