Gary Edward Lickliter

Gary Edward Lickliter, 70, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 10th, 2026, at his home in Palmer.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul. Pastor Nick Petrick will be offering words of comfort. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. A time of fellowship will follow from 2:30 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.

Gary was born on July 20, 1956, to Edward Joseph and Loraine (Butt) Lickliter in Beatrice. He grew up in the Grand Island and Beatrice areas and received his education in Beatrice. He was united in marriage to Brenda Folden in September of 1984. The couple later divorced. They kept their friendship throughout the years. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Christina Petrick, Stella Dillon, and Jennifer Valenta; sisters, Helen Jessup, Irene Fourcloud, and Edlene (Eddie) Green; grandchildren, Faith Havens, Brianna Havens, Landon Valenta, Brooklyn Valenta, Makayla Cornelius, Jadelyn Dillon, Charlie Dillon, and Jaxson Dillon.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Loraine Lickliter; sister, Morlene; and infant nephew, Jimmy Rae Patmore; and nephews, Edward Joe Fourcloud, and Tony Laymen, Jr.
