Glen L. Hansen, 86, of Farwell, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Tabitha Health Care in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in St. Paul. Interment will be held at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Island.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul. Memorials are suggested to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in St. Paul.
Glen was born on February 1, 1939, to Charles and Barbara (Markvicka) in Farwell where he grew up and attended District 78 School through the sixth grade and attended District 67 School, graduating on May 4, 1956. Glen enlisted in the United States Navy on October 6, 1956, and was discharged with an early out on January 31, 1960.
On April 4, 1970, he was united in marriage to Patricia “Pat” Cyboron. The couple enjoyed going to dances. He farmed for many years and drove bus for Arrow Stage Line for 35 years. He was an active member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in St. Paul and was also a member of the Farwell Community Club, ran numerous food stands at farm sales, hunter breakfasts and dinners, and at the Howard County Fair. Glen also volunteered at the Howard County Food Bank in St Paul.
His hobbies included coaching the Farwell men’s fast pitch team, fishing, hunting, woodworking, canning, and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons and their daughters-in-law, Clint & Hilary Hansen of Farwell and Chris & Sara Hansen of Lincoln; grandchildren, Kylie Hansen & Parker Hansen, both of Lincoln; sister, Arlette Jacobsen of Lincoln; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pat; brother, David Hansen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Adolph and Rose Cyboron; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Virgil Jacobsen, George and Kathryn Cyboron, James Cyboron, Dean Cyboron.
