Glenda "Jeannie" J. Glines, 91, of Central City, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Litzenberg Memorial Long Term Care Center in Central City.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the United Methodist Church in St. Paul. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
Glenda was born on July 20, 1934, to Glen and Zelda Mae (Brown) Laws in Aurora, Nebraska. She graduated from Cushing High School in 1952. She met Arnold Glines when she was 14 ½ years old and he was 17! They were married on October 30, 1952, at the Methodist Church in Wolbach, Nebraska. To this union, Deborah Jean, Valerie Ann, Daniel Richard, Jacqueline Kay, and Dennis Ruel were born.
Glenda’s hobbies include crocheting, ceramics, playing cards and games, especially cribbage and the board game, Wahoo. She truly loved visiting and telling stories.
Glenda is survived by her children and spouses, Deborah and Bruce Schweitzer, Valerie and Phil Rathjen, all of Bend, Oregon, Daniel and Annie Glines of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Jacqueline and Kent Maaske of Goose Creek, South Carolina, and Dennis Glines of Central City; eleven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Arthur Glines of Central City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold Glines; brothers, John Laws and James Spears.
