Lawrence “Larry” Joel Baillie, 80, of St. Paul, passed away on May 1, 2025, at the VA Medical Center in Grand Island.

A Celebration of his life with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul, NE. 

Larry was born on August 15, 1944, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to Lawrence and Caroline (Johnson) Baillie.  He grew up in California and received his education at Overland Avenue Elementary School, Daniel Webster Junior High School, and Alexander Hamilton High School, all in Los Angeles, CA.  In 1963, he entered the United States Air Force and was stationed at the Travis Air Force Base in San Francisco, CA, prior to being stationed in Thailand at the Royal Thai Air Force Base, dubbed Naked Phanny (NKP) by Bob Hope.  Larry was honorably discharged in 1967. He was united in marriage to Susan Roschynialski on February 14, 2008

Larry was a mechanic for 30 years.  His hobbies included Cowboy Action Shooting.  He was a member of the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS).

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Susan Baillie of St. Paul; daughter, Elizabeth Ann “Lisa” of Los Angeles, CA; brother, Douglas and Lori Baillie of Los Angeles, CA; sisters-in-law, Judy and Raph Mingus of Danneborg, NE, and Gloria and Fred Otradovsky of Grand Island, NE.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Norman
