Lois M. Klein, 97, of Wolbach died Sunday, January 02, 2011 at Heritage Living Center in St. Paul.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach. The Reverend Joseph Javorsky and Vicar Casey Lieneman will officiate. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Wolbach. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Wolbach Community Center.

Mrs. Klein was born August 1, 1913 on the family farm in Greeley County to William "Jack" and Lillian (Elliott) Pickrel. She was raised in Greeley County and attended country school in the Spring Creek area.
Lois was united in marriage to Herman Klein on January 12, 1929 in Grand Island.
The couple farmed northeast of Wolbach until 1937 when they moved to Detroit, MI. Lois worked at the Shaptini Grocery Store and then did factory work.
In 1945 the couple returned to Wolbach. Lois was a homemaker until the locker plant owned by her husband and his brother Albert was expanded to process meat. At that time Lois worked wrapping meat.
In 1967 they sold the locker plant and Lois worked as a store clerk at Grossart's Hardware for several years.
Lois enjoyed sewing, quilting, making crafts and dolls, bowling, fishing and playing cards. She was a very good cook, loving to bake and can produce. She was known for giving her baked goods to a number of people.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid of Wolbach. She was also active in the church teaching Sunday School.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Lila and Leroy Studley of Wolbach, Jan and Dan Wieck of St. Libory and Linda and Sal Mercurio of Post Falls, ID; six grandchildren,Tina Naputi, Wendy Cook and her husband, Russ, Jennifer Ippensen and her husband Derek, Justin Wieck, Krista Mercurio and Sara Mercurio; ten great-grandchildren, Jessica Naputi, Courtney Naputi, Brianna Taylor, Preston Cook, Kelsey Cook, Sophie Ippensen, Stella Ippensen, Kaiden Deaton, Ellie Deaton and Dominik Stroupe; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Erven and Velma Pickrel of Buhl, ID and Ivan Pickrel of Homedale, ID.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman on June 20, 1997; one brother, William Earl Pickrel and one sister, Myrtle Allen.
