Miss Rose Marie Mckoski

Rose Marie McKoski, 67, of St. Paul died Sunday, November 01, 2009 at Golden Living Center at Lakeview in Grand Island.



Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. The Reverend Ray Kosmicki will officiate. Inurnment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul.



A time to greet the family and sign the guestbook will be held on Wednesday, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a wake service at 6:00 p.m. at the church.



Memorials are suggested to the Golden Living Center at Lakeview.



Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul is in charge of arrangements.



Miss McKoski was born August 8, 1942 on the family farm near Nysted to Frank and Verna (Kyhn) McKoski.



She was baptized and confirmed at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul.



Rose Marie was raised in St. Paul and attended St. Paul schools. After her schooling, she lived and helped at home. Rose Marie helped at the Uptown Grill and worked with her family cleaning the St. Paul Library.



In December 2004, Rose Marie moved to the Golden Living Center at Lakeview because of health problems. She became very active at Lakeview, participating in the Christmas programs, bingo and other activities.



She enjoyed crocheting, jig saw puzzles, cats, reading books, gardening and cooking.



Rose Marie was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul.



Survivors include her mother, Verna of Grand Island; one brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Diane McKoski of Grand Island; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Angela and Lynn Rathbun of Alda, Margaret and Eugene Petersen of St. Paul and Lois McKoski of Grand Island; five nieces; seven great nephews and one great niece.



She was preceded in death by her father, Frank McKoski and her grandparents.
