Mrs. Regina Sneed

Regina Sneed, 90, of St. Paul died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Howard County Medical Center in St. Paul.

There will be a time to greet the family and sign the guestbook on Saturday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul. Inurnment will take place in the IOOF Cemetery in Indianola, Iowa at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.

Mrs. Sneed was born April 3, 1919 in Des Moines, IA to Charles and Ruth Ann (Mason) Bennum.

Regina was raised in Des Moines and graduated from high school there.

She was united in marriage to Clarence L. Gohn on November 5, 1938 in Burlington, IA. Clarence was in the Army Air Corp and they traveled for the next 22 years in the military. Each of the six children where born in a different place. She loved being in the kitchen with her children and no matter where she lived, she always had flowers and a small garden.

Regina was united in marriage to C. Richard Sneed on September 9, 1980 in Denver, CO.

Regina crocheted from the age of 4 years old and made afghans for many people. She also loved to read and passed that on to her children.

She enjoyed knitting, ceramics and canned the produce from her garden.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Paul Nielsen of Wolbach; four sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Barbara Gohn of Stagecoach, NV, Bud and Rosie Gohn of Durango, CO, John and Lois Gohn, and Carl and Carol Gohn of Oak Harbor, WA; an adopted grandson, Daniel Gohn of Durango, CO; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Hayes; and numerous step-children and step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughter, Joyce Ann Lampton, grandchildren, Nina Gohn, an infant grandson; one brother, William Bennum, and two sisters, Gladys Knight and Ruby Ford.
