Anne Alt, 80, of St. Paul died Sunday, November 15, 2009 at her home in St. Paul.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. The Reverend Ray Kosmicki will officiate. Interment will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Osceola Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. until service time at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul is in charge of arrangements.
Miss Alt was born December 13, 1928 in Shelby, NE to Oswald and Anna (Urban) Alt.
Because of the health of her mother, Anne was moved along with her siblings to Blue Island, IL. She attended school at St. Benedict School in Blue Island. Anne attended and graduated from Depaul University with a Masters Degree in foreign language.
Anne was a foreign language teacher in the Chicago area high schools.
Upon her retirement, she moved to the Wolbach and St. Paul areas, where she lived the rest of her life.
Anne traveled extensively, going to numerous countries around the world. She enjoyed educational television, gardening, and yard work. She kept up with events happening around the country and world.
Anne was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
She is survived by numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jack and Joseph Alt.
