Shirley Mae Inman, 92, of St. Paul, NE, (formerly of Wolbach), passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the Howard County Medical Center in St. Paul, Nebraska.

Family and friends are invited to honor Shirley’s memory at a Visitation on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach. 

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach, with Pastor Marcia Dorn officiating. Interment will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Wolbach.

Shirley was born on December 24, 1933, to Cyrus and Wilma (Prentice) Greek at home in Nance County. She attended grade school at Olive Country School in Nance County and graduated from Wolbach High School in 1951. She lived in Wolbach until moving to Matelyn Retirement Community in St. Paul in 2022.

Shirley was united in marriage to Reynard Stoffel on June 6, 1951, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach. The couple later divorced. On May 19, 1973, she married Kenneth Inman, Sr., at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach.  Mrs. Inman was employed at Wolbach Public School as a custodian and a bus driver for over 40 years. She also worked at the Ordinance Plant in Grand Island, Happ’s Tavern in Wolbach, and the couple owned and operated The Mustang Corral in Wolbach.

Some of her best achievements that she was proud of were receiving the Nebraska Custodian of the Year award in 2002, and being inducted into the Wolbach High School Hall of Fame at the Wolbach Alumni Reunion in 2025. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church ELCA, and the Wolbach American Legion Auxiliary.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Reynetta (Gary) Studley of Wolbach, Andy Stoffel of Texas, Cyanne (Lee) Hosey of CO, Cheryl (Steve) McIntyre of IA, Sandy Stoffel (Ted Rother) of AZ, Dodie (Jay) Thompson of St. Paul, Donita (Scott) Green of AZ, Randy (Miki) Stoffel of CO, Tina (Shawn) Luedders of Waverly, and Kendra (Todd) Hipsag of Lincoln. 

She was preceded in death by her parents;Cyrus and Wilma Greek; husband, Kenneth Inman, Sr.; sons, Kenny Inman, Jr., Kalvin Inman, and Keith Inman; and grand , Coleman Hipsag.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach, Ray Mapes American Legion Auiliary Post #236, Hillside Cemetery, or to the Dawsyn Rother Memorial Fund.
