Waylen Anthony “Zach” Wealot, 11, of Cushing, died unexpectedly on June 25, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
A Celebration of Waylen’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul.
Visitation will be held from 4-7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
Waylen was born on March 21, 2014, to Isabelle Medlock and Fredrick Wealot in Kansas City, MO, where he spent his toddler years before moving to Nebraska with his mother in 2018, where he embraced the country life. He was usually excited to help feed the cows and chickens, though some days he could be heard grumbling "chores are no fun!" He took pride in caring for the animals, and he frequently listened to audiobooks while he worked in the garden.
While previously homeschooled, he was looking forward to returning to St. Paul Public School for his 6th grade year. Waylen passionately engaged in video games, created captivating YouTube videos, and showcased his talent for drawing.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Isabelle Medlock of Cushing; father, Fredrick Wealot of Kansas City, MO; grandparents, Keith Medlock of Omaha, Lois Anthony of Cushing, Anna Mae Wealot of Kansas City, MO; uncles and aunts, Donnie Anthony of Tecumseh, Derrick and Katherine Gatsby of Ord, Michael and Lexi Eastwood of Wahoo, KeiShawnda Medlock of Grand Island, Sheree Schirmer of Grand Island, Zaria and Nick Patterson of St. Joe, MO, Brittany and Frankie Wealot of Kansas City, MO, Herbie and Melissa Wealot of Kansas City, MO, Alicia Garner of Kansas City, MO; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Waylen was preceded in death by his uncle, Waylen Wealot.
