Mildred Eloise Ridgway, 97, of St. Paul, died Friday, June 17, 2022, at the Howard County Medical Center in St. Paul.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 23, at the First Presbyterian Church in St. Paul. Pastor Lisa Ewald will officiate. Interment will be in the Fairfield Cemetery in Fairfield.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul. Memorials are suggested to the St. Paul EMT's, Howard County Medical Center Foundation, or the First Presbyterian Church in St. Paul.
Mildred was born June 6, 1925, in Fairfield to Theodore and Blanche (Mock) Walther. She was also baptized and raised in Fairfield, and graduated in 1943. She was united in marriage to Rolland Ridgway on Aug. 5, 1946, in Fairfield. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Fairfield American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed her quilting group, sewing, traveling with her husband's job, and being a homemaker.
Those left to cherish her memory include her three sons and two daughter-in-law, Terry and Cheryl Ridgway of Littleton, Colo., Ronald Ridgway of Oceanside, Calif., and Robert and Sharon Ridgway of West Des Moines, Iowa; a brother-in-law, Bill Ridgway of Fairfield; her grandchildren, Chad and Laura Ridgway, Todd Ridgway, Eulalia Cusimano and Nelson Guipta, Bianca and Nate Peterson, Tara and Chen Liang, Blake and Lauren Ridgway, Kelsey Ridgway; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rolland; a son, Rick Ridgway; and a half-sister, Dannie Jungclaus.
