Obituary

Steven A. Nicholas, 69, passed away on August 8th, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.

Steven was born on December 12th, 1952 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Ralph and Genevieve (Dunn) Nicholas.

He was a lifelong resident of Kansas City and worked in construction and the jewelry business as a gold smith and engraver. He was a graduate of the Shawnee Mission Northwest class of 1971. Steven was a longtime member of the Heart of America Aquarium Society, and enjoyed learning and educating members on the care and breeding of saltwater and freshwater fish.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Steven is survived by his brothers, Mark (Nonna) Nicholas of Tucson, Arizona and Jon Nicholas of Boulder, Colorado; daughter, Anna Reagan of Springfield, MO; niece, Diana Nicholas and nephew, Timur Beketov; and countless friends who will miss him greatly.

Steven was cremated and will be laid to rest at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Palmer, Nebraska at 4:30 P.M. on Friday, May 12, 2023.
