          Annette Gilliland, 91, of St. Paul died Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Golden Living Center-Lakeview in Grand Island.

          Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday in Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul.  Reverend Momo Larmena will officiate.

          A time to greet the family will be held on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.

          Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice.

          Mrs. Gilliland was born October 10, 1924 in Lebanon, Ohio to Carl E. and Vivian (Snook) Bretney.

          She moved with her family to South Lebanon, Mison and Cleveland before returning to Lebanon and Spring Valley, Ohio.

          Annette graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1942.  She attended Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio for a year.

          She was united in marriage to Gray Keen in January 1944 in Kentucky.  The couple resided in Leesburg, Ohio until 1961, then moving to Shelton, Nebraska.

          To this union six children were born, Jan, Dawn, Christopher, Jaye, Jon and Jeff.

          Annette was united in marriage to William Gilliland in 1974.  They resided in the Gage Valley area in Howard County.  Annette moved to St. Paul after his death in 1998.

          She enjoyed doing craft work, taking care of people, and polka dancing.

          She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in St. Paul for many years.

          Survivors include her children and spouses, Jan Keen of Cincinnati,0 Ohio, Dawn and Chuck Wiseman of California, Christopher Keen of Lincoln, Jaye Keen of Denver, Jeff and LaDonna Keen of Doniphan and Jon Keen; step-children, LeRoy and Jan Gilliland of St. Paul, Colleen and Dennis Grim of Phillips, NE and Beverly and John Farlee of Grand Island; ten grandchildren, Jamie, Cindy, Tim, Becky, Donna, Matt, Taz, Tamara, Heather and Kelby; three great-grandchildren and a brother Jay Bretney of California.

          She is preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Peggy Bretney; husbands, Gray Keen and William Gilliland; a grandson, Brett; and a sister, Marge Johnson.
