I was so sorry to hear of your mother's death. She was a lovely person in every way and I always enjoyed seeing and visiting with her. She was so proud of each of you and of course no one can ever take her

I will miss you Marlene with all my heart and soul.
From the beginning, When Doug and I first became friends I had no idea how you and your family would become such an enormous part of my life.
All of the life events we shared, from baseball games, fishing trips, basketball in the driveway, cub scouts, church, Husker football games, family outings, sleep overs, first time dances, football, college graduations, birthdays, weddings, baptism's, funerals... you were a key part of my life.
The pancakes you made spelling out our names, the countless hours spent helping with Homework, cheering us up with pep talks, convincing us that girls were OK, the thousands of potluck dinners you cooked, trips to and from school events for us, lunches you packed, cookies you baked.... cream puffs, nutty bars, kolaches, John Marzetti, There are so, so many memories.
I will miss your heart, your kind soul and your love. The warm and timeless greetings I would always, always, always get from you... the hugs... I look at your picture and realize how much I will miss that smile and the wonderful humor we shared...
I thank you Marlene, for everything. I am the person I am today because of you. I hope and pray you are there to continue to guide me and my family, along with yours.

We were just casual friends thru DeEtte but I always admired her genuine warmth, love and smile she had for everyone. She will be missed by so many- my sympathy and prayers to all of you.

Marlene was a good friend and always supportive of my path even when it strayed from the popular choice. That is what REAL friendship entails. The only time she ever broke my heart was when she left behind this mortal coil. Sleep well dear one and rest eternal.

Prayers for all to remember Marlene during all of her happy, fun moments in life! She was such a wonderful, beautiful woman, inside and out.
